I had a blast sunprinting yesterday. Here are some pics.
I overpainted on some that didn't turn out as well. I used Setacolor Transparent paints for the sunprinting and then painted with Lumiere (love the silver), Pearlescent Acrylic Inks, a gold spider writer paint pen. I also used salt on most of the pieces. On a few I stamped images using home-made carved and foam stamps.
Would love to hear comments! I was disappointed that I didn't have more luck with the bamboo. I'll have to try it again. It may have been to dry to lay flat. It's also hard to make stay down just because the leaves are so small there are no good places to lay rocks on top. Anyone had any success with bamboo sunprinting?

Ooh, beautiful. I remember making sunprints when I was a little kid with some science and art kit I had. Did you do this on paper or fabric? And how did you do it? I love the leaves - I wonder if you could use different flowers to make something that looked like a bouquet.
I love what you came up with, It can be really addictive!! I haven't used bamboo, but it might work great after a bit of pressing. I posted in Quiltart more info. I love what the salt does, too. The best part- the more you play, the more you learn, but it never comes out the same way twice. :)
I really love that bottom one - such lovely, vibrant colours!! The sun printed pattern is so clear....
I love the sun printing. It is gorgeous. Thanks for doing the program at Fiber Art Fusion last night. I had a great time. Now I need to go get some neocolor II's.
